Male & Female Luers
Connectors, Adapters, and Accessories
Nordson MEDICAL offers designers worldwide the broadest selection of male luer and female luer fittings and connectors, luer adapters and luer accessories. Over 120 separate configurations are offered in nylon, polypropylene, polycarbonate and PVDF, with many color and special material options available from stock or upon special order. Our Value Plastics line of male and female luers are available with tubing connections that fit many tubing materials ranging from 1/16" (1.6 mm) to 1/4" (6.4 mm) IDs, with threaded ends and panel mount versions also available.
Luer-Lock Connectors
Female Fittings
Luer-lock connectors (female) are joined by means of a tabbed hub on the female fitting that screws into threads in a sleeve on the male fitting and attaches securely. Male luer lock connectors are available with integral lock rings or with rotatable features to allow you to position the tubing before assembly. This locking mechanism is used for applications that require a secure connection.
Luer Slips
Threadless Fittings
Luer-slip connectors simply conform to luer taper dimensions and are pressed together and held by friction (they have no threads). This mechanism is used for applications such as priming and flushing.
Luer Tapers
Make Secure Connctions
The 6% tapered cone luer standard, developed in 1896, remains a global standard for medical devices and laboratory instruments due to its reliability and cost-effectiveness. Nordson MEDICAL's Value Plastics line of luer fittings are integral to this standardized system, offering secure leak-proof connections for both gas and fluid applications, with special attention to eliminating parting lines (on luer fittings featuring a barb) for leak-free tubing unions.
Male Luer Valves
High-Flow, Leak-Free Fluid Access
Our Halkey-Roberts line of male luer valves (MLV) is designed to provide high-flow, leak-free access for flushing, drainage, IV therapy, and home healthcare applications. Engineered for integration into medical tubing sets and fluid delivery systems, these valves provide reliable connection to female luer fittings and luer-activated valves while helping eliminate dripping and leakage when disconnected. Their high-flow design removes the need for clamping, supporting efficient fluid management and dependable performance across a wide range of clinical applications.
Available configurations include 4.0 mm and 6.6 mm tube-end designs, slip-fit, 1/8" barbed connections, and versions with integrated female luer locks. Multiple color options are available for visual identification, while select models are offered in polycarbonate or copolyester constructions. All male luer valves incorporate proven valve technology and are manufactured from gamma-resistant, ISO 10993-compliant materials that are DEHP-free and not made with natural rubber latex.
